For the last 2 weeks or so I have been exchanging thoughts & emails with Tom Cheetham, the Corbin scholar, mainly on the concept of Ta’wil in poetics. Tom has now put a good part of those exchanges up on his “The Legacy of Henry Corbin” site (& a further note by George Quasha on the DiaLogos he and Chuck Stein had with Robert Kelly in the RK VORT issue — part of which Tom has also reproduced).

Today Tom added a few pages from Charles Olson’s Poetry & Truth: The Beloit Lectures, referring to the matter of ta’wil.

Check it all out here.

Earlier this week I posted two articles from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) speaking to deteriorating climatological conditions in the Antarctic, and to the Copenhagen climate summit. Just now  the BBC reports that:

“The Greenland ice sheet is losing its mass faster than in previous years and making an increasing contribution to sea level rise, a study has confirmed.

Published in the journal Science, it has also given scientists a clearer view of why the sheet is shrinking.”
