Paul Celan's Breathturn


Very pleased to be able to announce that my translation of Breathturn by Paul Celan has just been reprinted by Green Integer so that the three complete volumes of Celan’s late poetry I have translated — Breathturn, Threadsuns, and Lightduress — are now available in uniform editions from that publisher (though Breathturn is not yet listed on their website). Here are the publication details for the new edition:

YOU MAY confidently
regale me with snow:
as often as I strode through summer
shoulder to shoulder with the mulberry tree,
its youngest leaf
shrieked.
