Segal Theater Center, The Graduate Center, CUNYJoin us for a global exploration of contemporary poetry as we celebrate the release of the anthology Language for a New Century, recently published by W.W. Norton & Co. Featuring hundreds of poets from Beijing to Berlin, Casablanca to California, the anthology is the most ambitious and far-reaching collection of contemporary Asian and Middle Eastern poetry available. This reading will be followed by a discussion with the editors Ravi Shankar, Nathalie Handal, and Tina Chang, moderated by Pierre Joris.
