Poet, translator, editor, anthologist,\u00a0Jerome Rothenberg<\/strong>\u00a0is joined by friends and collaborators for an exploration of his influential work. Papers on, and celebrations of,\u00a0 Rothenberg\u2019s work will be presented by\u00a0\u00a0Susan Howe,\u00a0<\/strong>Carolee Schneemann, Ammiel Alcalay,\u00a0<\/strong>Rachel Blau DuPlessis, Anne Waldman, Bruce Andrews &<\/strong>\u00a0Sally Silvers, Jeffrey Robinson, Pete Monaco, Charles Morrow,\u00a0<\/strong>Anne Tardos,\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>George Economou, Rochelle Owens, Robert Kelly, Al Filreis, Monica de la Torre, Ernesto Livon-Grosman, Nicole Peyrafitte, Lee Ann Brown & Tony Torn, Mark Weiss, Peter Cockelbergh<\/strong>, Ligorano-Reese, Danny Snelson, Heriberto Yepez,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Diane Rothenberg<\/strong>, Homero Aridjis,<\/strong> and others.<\/p>\n

The evening will end with a reading by Jerome Rothenberg<\/strong><\/span>.<\/h4>\n

Organized and hosted by\u00a0Pierre Joris<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Charles Bernstein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In conjunction with the event,\u00a0Steve Clay<\/strong>, of Granary Books, will curate a retrospective exhibit of works by Jerome Rothenberg. Included will be examples of books and magazines with which Rothenberg was directly involved as editor\/publisher such as Hawk’s Well Press,\u00a0Alcheringa<\/em>,\u00a0Poems from the Floating World<\/em>, “Some\/Thing” and\u00a0New Wilderness Letter<\/em>; the remarkable series of anthologies he edited from\u00a0Technicians of the Sacred<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0Poems for the Millennium<\/em>; selections from his more than 100 books and broadsides\u00a0 to an array of his collaborations with artists including Ian Tyson, Susan Bee and Arman.\u00a0<\/em>Charlie Morrow<\/strong>\u00a0will also have an exhibit of his many audio collaborations with Rothenberg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
