What I wrote for the back cover:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These small (by word-count only) proses by the great Peruvian\u00a0<em>avant-gardista<\/em> C\u00e9sar Vallejo carry the master\u2019s unmistakable meandering complexity of language and thought, of language\u00a0<em>in<\/em> thought. These meditations are \u201canswers without questions which are the spirit of art and the dialectic consciousness of things.\u201d Into these not very Borgesian fictions, Vallejo is able to insert a rocky, rollicking, mestizoed \u201cr\u201d\u00a0 \u2014 thus making for abrasive thinking, for to cleanse your moral palate you need fricative pumice stone, not soft soap-opera-ted fictive ablations.
