UP THERE\n\nUp there,\nabove my head,\nthe ceiling of my room is\ncream-colored.\n\nJust as the underbelly of a fish\nfits neatly\nto the fish's back,\nthe ceiling is tapered to the walls\nand from\nthere to the floor of my room.\n\nSo it is\nthat keeping an eye\non my fish's\nunder-belly,\nlooking upwards from my bed,\nI an see the ceiling\nas motionless which in reality\nis gliding slowly\nslowly (only inches per year)\ninto a deep atmosphere,\nbrowsing and feeding, feeding and browsing,\nas all fish do.\n\nThe cream-colored ceiling\nof my room\nis never full\nthough it grows fatter\nand fatter.\n<\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n
