\n<\/span>with forced shimmer
\n<\/span>from Rihaku\u2019s Cathay-creations;
\n<\/span>once \u2014
\n<\/span>with Haman\u2019s poisonous blood-evil sickness.<\/span><\/p>\n

Idaho-cool air in Arnaut Daniel\u2019s rich
\n<\/span>breath subtle with the pronunciation of \u201cLa Dolche
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Lingua Toscana.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Like everything that\u2019s more sinister than intimate.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rhetoric of Cam\u00f5es is his Shatzer\u2019s<\/span> rhetoric.

TRANSLATOR\u2019S NOTE. Mikhl Likht (1893-1953) was a Yiddish American poet, critic, editor & translator, whose radical masterwork, Protsesiyes<\/i> [Processions], accompanies &, in some cases, pre-figured the long poem experiments of English poets, Pound, Loy, Eliot, Williams & Zukofsky, with all of whom he was in contact. \u201cE.P,\u201d which appears in Likht\u2019s Yiddish collection, Vazon <\/i>[Vessel, 1928], addresses head-on the stagnation of Pound\u2019s panculturalist anti-Semitism & \u201cbetters the instruction\u201d (to quote a young Zukosky quoting Shylock).\u00a0 <\/span>Likht published the first stanza of \u201cE.P.\u201d as an English poem called, \u201cTo the Author of Lustra.\u201d under the pseudonym, Max Licht Sonin, in the little magazine, The Pagan in 1918.
