It features new texts written expressly for this occasion, as well as the first-ever English translation of Alain Badiou\u2019s <i>Perroquet<\/i> text from 1986, \u201cEst-il exact que toute pens\u00e9e \u00e9met un coup de d\u00e9s?\u201d Badiou reads Mallarm\u00e9\u2019s <i>Coup de d\u00e9s <\/i>as \u201cthe greatest theoretical text that exists on the conditions for thinking the event.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Featured essayists include: Robert Boncardo, Alain Badiou, Jean-Claude Milner, Liesl Yamaguchi, Jean-Nicolas Illouz, Jean-Francois Puff, Kuisma Korhonen, and Mary Shaw. The issue closes with Claude Mouchard&#8217;s dialogic long poems, as harrowing as they are soft-spoken.
